Global Handwashing Day.

Visste ni att det är Internationella tvätta-händerna-dagen (Global Handwashing Day) idag?! Denna dag initierades 2008 av Public-Private Partership for Handwashing (PPPHW). Målet med dagen är att en kontinuerlig och god handhygien ska bidra till att förhindra diarrésjukdomar och luftvägsinfektioner, som gör vuxna och barn sjuka i världens U-länder varje dag och dödar miljontals varje år. Handtvätt med tvål och vatten är det mest effektiva och billigaste sättet att stoppa detta.

Did you know that today is Global Handwashing Day?

"Handwashing with soap is the most effective and inexpensive way to prevent diarrheal and acute respiratory infections, which take the lives of millions of children in developing countries every year. Together, they are responsible for the majority of all child deaths. Yet, despite its lifesaving potential, handwashing with soap is seldom practiced and difficult to promote.

Turning handwashing with soap before eating and after using the toilet into an ingrained habit could save more lives than any single vaccine or medical intervention, cutting deaths from diarrhea by almost half and deaths from acute respiratory infections by one-quarter. A vast change in handwashing behavior is critical to meeting the Millennium Development Goal of reducing deaths among children under the age of five by two-thirds by 2015.

Global Handwashing Day focuses on children because not only do they suffer disproportionately from diarrheal and respiratory diseases and deaths, but research shows that children – the segment of society so often the most energetic, enthusiastic, and open to new ideas – can also be powerful agents for changing behaviors like handwashing with soap in their communities."

Har du inte redan hunnit testa våra nya tvålar under namnet Victoria of Sweden så vill vi passa på ett tipsa Er om dem igen med denna inspirerande bild. Tvålarna innehåller både sheasmör, honung och bär från skogen. Just denna är fylld med lingonens alla goda egenskaper.

Maybe you already have had the chance to test our new soaps under the name Victoria of Sweden? Anyway we would like to tell you about them again with this inspiring picture. The soaps contain both shea butter, honey and berries from the forest. This particular soap is filled with all the good properties from lingonberry.

I slutet av maj deltog vår VD Jonny Freij i en ceremoni tillsammans med den koreanska presidenten för ChildFund Korea.  Ceremonin hölls i samband med en donation till "Water 4 Child", en av ChildFund Alliance projekt i Arfica, som gjordes av Victoria Korea.

Inspired by the Swedish nature, its deep forests, sunny glades and vitamin-enriched berries this series of body product have been developed. Old, traditional beauty secrets have been mixed with exiting ingredients such as shea butter, Swedish honey and berry extracts. Let your mind and body embrace the sense of summer, fresh flowers, spices and jucy berries in these colourfull and energizing recipes. 

In the first step we will present three soaps with berry extracts from lingonberries, blueberries and cloudberries.

eggwhite facial mask.

Om du inte redan gjort det så måste du prova att lägga en "eggwhite facial mask". Det är superenkelt och superskönt. Gör bara så här: Arbeta upp ett rikt lödder i dina händer med hjälp av lite vatten, applicera det krämiga löddret över ansikte och hals (undvik ögon) och låt sitta i 5 minuter. Skölj av masken med ljummet vatten och njut av den rena och åtstramande känslan som efterföljer. Ingredienserna lanolin, eggvita och rosenvatten gör underverk för huden!

If you haven't done it already, you must try to make a "eggwhite facial mask". It's super easy! Just follow these steps: Work up a rich lather in your hands with a little water, apply the creamy lather over face and neck (avoid eyes) and let it stay on for 5 minutes. Rinse off the mask with comfortably warm water and enjoy the clean and comfy feeling that will appear. The ingredients lanolin, eggwhite and rosewater does wonders for your skin!
